Zero-Cost Vending Services

Free Equipment. Free Installation. Free Stocking. No-Long Term Contracts.

One of the most common questions we get from facility managers is: "How much does it cost to rent a vending machine?". The answer is simple, but often surprising: It typically costs you zero.

Unlike equipment rental companies, Del Monte Vending is a full-service operator. We handle the entire capital investment—purchasing the machine, stocking the inventory, and managing repairs. We generate revenue simply by selling products to your users, meaning there are no monthly fees or retainers for you.

We Provide (At No Cost):

  • The Machine (Secure & Modern)

  • The Inventory (Snacks & Drinks)

  • Maintenance & Repairs

  • Cash Collection & Restocking

You Provide:

  • A standard electrical outlet

  • Approx. 10 sq ft of space

  • Water Line (Coffee/Ice only)

  • The foot traffic

The Service Breakdown

Who Pays for the Products?

While the equipment and service are free to the facility, someone has to pay for the snacks. We offer three flexible models depending on your goals.

1. User-Paid (Standard)

Cost to Company: $0

The most common setup. Employees, residents, or guests pay for their own items using a credit card or phone. You pay nothing.

2. Subsidized & Credits

Cost to Company: Partial / Budgeted

Flexible options for your budget. You can subsidize prices (e.g., all drinks are 50¢) or provide a monthly digital credit to each employee (e.g., $10/month). Once the credit is used, they pay full price.

3. Free Vend & Promos

Cost to Company: 100%

The ultimate perk. Snacks are free for your team. To manage costs, we can set daily item limits to prevent hoarding, or schedule "Free Vend Fridays" as a special morale booster.

Optional Add-Ons (Paid)

These are not required, but available if you want to elevate the experience:

  • Custom Branding: Vinyl machine wraps with your company logo.

  • Built-In Millwork: Custom cabinetry or carpentry for Micro Markets.

  • Experience Marketing: Digital screen ads or corporate messaging apps.

Specialized Logistics

Standard delivery is free. However, complex requirements may be billable:

  • Complex Rigging: Moving machines up stairs without elevators or using cranes.

  • Short-Term Removal: If service is cancelled within the first 90 days, a removal fee may apply to cover labor.

Are There Any Hidden Costs?

There are no invoices from us for the standard service. However, if you require specialized customization or logistics, we are transparent about those costs upfront.

Ongoing Utility Costs

The only ongoing cost to the facility is electricity. A modern Energy Star-rated vending machine typically uses about 3–4 kWh per day. In the Chicago area, this translates to roughly $5.00 to $10.00 per month on your building’s electric bill.

Note: Micro Market coolers are also highly efficient and comparable to residential refrigerators.

Why Not Just Buy Your Own Machine?

Some facility managers consider buying their own machines to keep 100% of the profits. However, the hidden costs—technician labor at $150/hr, expired inventory losses, and the time spent shopping and stocking—almost always exceed the machine's revenue. Our program gives you the amenity without the liability.

The Bottom Line: Unless vending is your core business, the labor and resources required to manage a successful program often outweigh the revenue. We take the risk; you get the benefit.

Who Typically Qualifies?

  • Offices: Locations with 75+ daily employees.

  • Apartments: Buildings with 150+ units or high common-area traffic.

  • Warehouses: Facilities with shift work or large crews.

  • Public Sites: Schools, hotels, or busy waiting rooms.

What If We Are Smaller?

For smaller offices (under 40 people), we may recommend a "Subsidized" model or an office coffee service rather than a full vending bank, as the sales volume may not support a dedicated machine.

How Do We Qualify for Free Service?

Because we invest thousands of dollars in the equipment upfront (a modern machine costs $5,000+), we need to ensure the location has enough foot traffic to support sales.

Does Your Building Qualify?

We can provide a quick assessment over the phone or via email. Let us know your estimated foot traffic, and we will tell you if you qualify for free placement.
